Kasatintin.com can report that the CEO of embattled gold dealership firm, Menzgold Ghana Limited, Nana Appiah Mensah also known as NAM 1 has won his case in Dubai.
A Dubai-based company reportedly caused NAM 1’s arrest and subsequent prosecution over an alleged gold deal.
But a Dubai court on Tuesday acquitted and discharged NAM 1 and in addition ordered the Dubai-based company to pay him all his outstanding debts related to the deal.
Media reports suggest that NAM 1 may have been kept in Dubai police cell since November 2018. It is not clear at this time if the Menzgold CEO also spent the last Christmas day in police cell.
Earlier reports claimed that NAM 1 and his family were cooling off in a hotel in Nigeria but that proved to be an ‘Aprilfool’ stunt.
NAM 1 is a ‘free man’ now. But back home there is ‘fire’ in his beard. NAM1’s Menzgold company owes customers hundreds of cedis.
The Coalition of Aggrieved Menzgold Customers alleged that it’s been almost eight months since they have been barred from accessing their funds including interests and principal sums on their investments.
Kasatintin.com has learnt that some affected customers are unable to pay their children’s school fees whiles others who cannot cope with the distressed situation have allegedly died out of shock.
Details over the cost of damages the Dubai court awarded Nana Appiah Mensah is sketchy. But the customers of Menzgold are hopeful that NAM1 will pay them their dividends upon his return to the country.
So when will NAM 1 return to Ghana? Watch the video below.
