Kasatintin Writes: This The Number 1 REASON People Who Watch TELENOVELA Have ‘Mental Problem’

Ghana’s number 1 Akan TV station, Adom TV has aired the final episode of Kumkum Bhagya on 6th August, 2019.

Adom TV started showing Kumkum Bhagya in October 2015 just a year after it was premiered in India.

Some Ghanaian pastors branded Kumkum Bhagya as ‘demonic’ and also ‘cur$ed’ anybody who watched the soap opera because it negatively affected attendance in church.

These pastors became ‘wild’ because the telenovela significantly brought the ‘kingdom business’ to a halt.

Kumkum Bhagya was more than an addiction so people did not easily leave their TV sets to attend evening church service.

The trick is that Adom TV managed to capture the attention of a sizeable number of viewers by translating the popular Indian series into Twi, a local dialect.

It was the first of its kind so most viewers were eager and did not want to miss a single episode of the TV programme.

The oldies who will ordinarily attend an evening church service whether rain or shine, could also not resist the Kumkum Bhagya fever. They stayed at home and watched the soap opera from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
