Kasatintin.com a while ago reported that one of the Guineans who tested positive for coronavirus (otherwise called Covid-19) in Tamale has escaped.
The young lady, who authorities say is in her early 20s allegedly scaled the wall at the back of the hotel where she and nine others were being held in mandatory quarantine.
The Guinean is said to have escaped at the blind side of two police officers and two military personnel who were guarding the hotel.
Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Saeed told JoyNews that:
‘At midnight when everybody was asleep she scaled the wall and escaped leaving her belongings, including a mobile phone’.
Latest information reaching Kasatintin.com suggests that the Guinean national who escaped from quarantine in Tamale has been found.
Reports say the escapee was captured in the Kumbungu District of the Northern Region.
There are fears that the escapee might have exposed other people including residents of the community where she was arrested to the virus.
Three ambulances are on standby to transport the ten positive cases back to Burkina Faso.
