Founder of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim has finally been released from the custody of the Ghana Police Service after he managed to meet the bail conditions.
Kasatintin.com gathers the bail was executed at about 3pm on Friday, May 22, 2020.
Obinim reportedly stayed in police custody more than expected after faling to meet his bail conditions — sum of GHC 100,000 with three sureties, one to be justified.
Kennedy Agyapong offered to use one of his houses as a surety to ensure the release of the embattled man of God when he spoke on Net2 TV.
Information suggests Obinim was rushed to the hospital as soon as he left police custody.
A source said ‘Private doctors are trying to check his conditions so that he can be back to normal life’.
‘Is he not the one with healing power, why should he go to the hospital?’ a social media user quizzed.
‘Nimokafuri and Ayetemfrem angels must come down and save Obinim ooo’ added another user.
Bishop Obinim, who also calls himself an ‘Angel’ was arrested on May 19, 2020 and charged with the offences of publication of false news and forgery of documents contrary to sections 208 and 159 of the Criminal and other offences Act, (1960) (ACT 29) respectively.
