Former president John Mahama is trending after a video showing him in the gym popped up on social media on Friday.
Mr Mahama, 61 was seen in the video having a workout session at the gym with one of his sons at home.
He proved a point that age is just a number and regular exercise is as important as brushing your teeth every morning. Mahama lifted heavy metals and did push-ups with the same level of energy his young son exhibited.
Unknown to many, the former president, who is also seeking re-election to lead the country once more is not lazy when it comes to exercising the body.
‘It is one of the many things Mr Mahama has found time to be doing, which started during the COVID-19 lockdown period, an information in a video sighted by Kasatintin.com said.
It added that he ‘…was spending more time with the kids, and occasionally bike riding with her daughter, Farida. They ride within designated areas of their estate.’
This is not the first time Mahama has showed off his workout session. He did same during his 59th birthday celebration in 2017. He however used the opportunity to encourage Ghanaians to adopt the culture of exercising on a regular basis.
‘Spent the morning in the gym, working out to keep healthy. Remember to exercise to keep healthy. [Because] Ghana needs you alive…,’ he said.
