Leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has claimed victory in Monday’s general elections.
The Electoral Commission (EC) is yet to declare official results.
However, the opposition NDC alleges it has won majority seat in parliament while its candidate, John Dramani Mahama is leading the presidential race.
The NPP is also making similar claims calling victory for President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Many are confused as to which side of the story to believe yet supporters of these major political parties are on the street jubilating.
Mahama and his campaign team addressed a press conference Tuesday evening. The party served notice it will not accept a flawed election.
‘We will resist any attempt to subvert the will of the people. Some of what is happening is unacceptable. And Nana Akufo-Addo continues to show credentials that are very undemocratic’,Mr. Mahama said.
He added ‘you can not use the military to try and overturn some of the results in constituencies that we have won. And so we’ll resist any attempts to subvert the sovereign will of the Ghanaian people. The right thing must be done’.
Kasatintin.com projects the NDC may go to court -if necessary- to challenge the election results if they do not tally with the data they have. Watch the video below.
