The official results of the December 7 polls is out and NPP’s presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo won by obtaining 6,730, 413 ( 51.59%) of the total votes cast.
His closest contender John Mahama of the opposition NDC polled 6, 214, 889 (47.36%) of the total votes.
Chairperson for the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensah declared the official election results on Wednesday.
By this declaration, Akufo-Addo will be sworn-in on January 7, 2021 to begin his second term in office.
Before the election, one spiritualist, Nana Mosi argued Akufo-Addo will lose the election.
Nana Mosi said based on what God has revealed to him, Mahama will rather become the next president of Ghana.
‘Mahama will be the next President. I should be beheaded just like John the Baptist in the bible and be exhibited for the entire nation to see if my prophecy does not come to pass’.
Nana Mosi is yet to offer a reaction to the new development. Kasatintin.com is also working around the clock to have an exclusive interview with him on the matter.
But catch the full details of what Nana Mosi said in our earlier post below:
Renowned spiritualist based in the Bono East Region, Nana Mosi has declared that opposition leader John Dramani Mahamani will win the 2020 presidential elections.
Nana Mosi has also put his life on the line, saying his head should be cut off if the December 7 poll results turn in favour of the ruling New Patriotic Party.
But latest polls by pollster Ben Ephson and the Political Science Department of University of Ghana (UG) have predicted a one touch victory for incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Ben Ephson’s poll has suggested that Mahama will likely lose the 2020 elections by obtaining 45% votes while Akufo-Addo will garner a little over 52% of the total votes to retain power.
Again, according to the UG survey, 51.7% of Ghanaians say they will vote for Akufo-Addo; 40.4% of the potential voters chose Mahama.
Nana Mosi has however described the polls that pointed to a victory for President Akufo-Addo as false and should be ignored.
‘Mahama will be the next President’, he said ‘I should be beheaded just like John the Baptist in the bible and be exhibited for the entire nation to see if my prophecy does not come to pass’.
