Information suggests that schools in Ghana will return to full academic work later this month following approval from Cabinet.
State media , Graphic Online reported a while ago that schools in the country will resume full academic work beginning mid-January 2021 following cabinet’s approval, details of which is expected to be announced soon.
‘The exact resumption date is unclear yet but the sources say it could be any date from 12th to 19th January, and will mark a return from the long, Covid-19 inspired schools closure by government’, the report sighted by Kasatintin.com said.
President Nana Akufo-Addo on March 15, 2020 ordered the closure of all schools in the country beginning March 16, along with a ban on public gatherings when Ghana confirmed her first two positive Covid-19 cases.
Second-year students in junior and senior high schools were however allowed back in school on October 5, 2020 to complete the 2019/20 academic year after Continuing students did same earlier on.
