Abigial Mawutor Rawlings, the Togolese lady claiming to be the first daughter of late President Jerry John Rawlings has made headlines in the last few days.
Abigial Mawutor caused a scene at the Accra International Conference Centre when security officers blocked her from seeing the body of her ‘late father’ Rawlings.
Following this humiliation, she granted an interview to the media and explained why she refused to disclose her identity and relationship with Rawlings when he was alive.
Someone who identifies herself as a classmate of Abigial Mawutor in Primary school has corroborated the story which she earlier shared with the media.
She recalled how colleagues teased Abigial in school–Adabraka L/A Primary School, Accra–and called her bastard because she didn’t know who her father was.
She revealed that it was widely known in Adabraka community that Abigail’s mother could not make out the man who got her pregnant.
She added that later, people referred to Abigial as ‘Rawlings daughter’ due to the fact that they look alike and also for the reason that Rawlings attended Adabraka L/A Primary School.
According to Abigail Mawutor, her mother Rose Agbodzi Sende, an Ewe based in Accra but originally from Togo unveiled the identity of her biological father recently.
