The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has, with immediate effect suspended its Deputy General secretary Samuel Koku Anyidoho from the party.

Mr Anyidoho is facing disciplinary action after two NDC members filed an official compliant against his conduct ‘which is viewed in breach of the party’s disciplinary code for its members as contained in the NDC constitution.’

Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the General Secretary of the party said that the NDC Functional Executive Committee (FEC) took the decision in accordance with Articles 46(1), 46(6) and 46(8)(b) of the NDC constitution.

‘Your membership of the NDC is suspended pending the hearing and final determination of the petition against your conduct’, Asiedu Nketia stated in a letter dated on 8th February, 2021 ‘It is our hope that you will co-operate with the Disciplinary Committee for an expeditions (sic) determination of this case.’
