Actress Rosemond Brown a.k.a Akuapem Poloo has shared a video on her Instagram page just a few hours she was sent to jail for 90days earlier today by an Accra Circuit Court.
She faced charges of publication of obscene material and domestic violence.
Akuapem Poloo was found guilty of posting a nude photo of herself and her seven-year-old son on his birthday way back in June 30, 2020.
The caption of her post read:
‘I am naked in front of you because this is how naked I was giving birth to you, so in case you find me lying somewhere don’t pass by but see me as your mom who brought you to life’.
But speaking in a video Kasatintin.com has seen online, Akuapem Poloo looking sobber, expressed regrets about the matter that led to her incarceration on Friday.
She also thanked the people and bloggers who supported her with the social media campaign #FreeAkuapemPoloo when she was convicted.
‘I saw the hashtag. I know you people love me and I love you too…I’m stubborn but you still show me love’
Poloo added ‘Guys, you know your gal is strong. Sometimes in life you have to pass through somethings to make you strong, to get to somewhere. I know it’s a test I have to go through.
I’m strong you guys know. Please all that I need is your prayers and support. Your girl will be back with you guys. I love everyone who has supported me till this time’.
