The body of a middle aged man has been found in an uncompleted building at Kumasi Feyiase in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region.
The deceased identified as Israel Agyei Manu is alleged to have been murdered by one Rashid Ibrahim on Sunday at about 2pm.
Rashid is in police custody and assisting them with investigations into the crime.
The suspect is claimed to have used machete to cut off the head of Israel Agyei Manu, the head teacher of Rogel Montessori Basic School at Atonsu Kumasi and owner/driver of the Bolt service Toyota Vitz vehicle with registration number GE-3170-21.
Latest police statement Kasatintin.com has sighted said Rashid ‘who initially gave an untenable alibi to police later confessed to committing the crime and led police to retrieve the machete which he allegedly used to behead the deceased at Feyiase New Site on 4th July,2021’.
It added that the ‘suspect is in police custody pending arraignment before court’.
