Two people have been confirmed dead after a church building collapsed on them in Nigeria on Saturday, September 11, 2021.
The deceased–Demenege James and Mwueze Terzunwe– were among the worshippers who were trapped under the Holy Ghost Church building.
The temple collapsed over the weekend after a heavy downpour that lasted for hours.
Other worshippers also sustained varying degrees of injuries as a result of the incident which occurred in the Takum Local Government Area of the Taraba State
The collapsed building houses the Holy Ghost Church.
Chairman of Takum council, Shiban Tikari confirmed the sad news to reporters.
The injured are receiving treatment at a primary health care centre within the community, according reports Kasatintin.com has received.
