Provisional figures coming from the Ghana Statistical Service puts Ghana’s current population at 30.8 million.
The Population and Housing Census was carried out in June 2021.
The country’s population increased by 6.1 million. Ghana’s population in 2010 was 24.7 million.
The latest statistics reveal that females marginally outnumber males in the country by 427,690.
Given Ghana’s current population at 30.8 million, the Ghana Statistical Service indicates that women make up 15,610,149 whilst men are 15,182,459.
‘Overall, females make up 50.7% of the population and males 49.3%.7% of the national figure’, Government Statistician, Prof Samuel Kobina Annim said on Wednesday.
Technically, 427,690 women will be left if each man decides to date or marry one woman.
But what happens to the rest of the women. Who takes care of their emotional needs?
