A police officer (name withheld) in Bolgatanga has allegedly set the house of his girlfriend ablaze after she took money for transportation but failed to visit him as promised.
The police officer’s lover, Eunice, her auntie and other 5 people have become homeless as a result of the incident which took place on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.
Reports sighted by Kasatintin.com revealed that the angry policeman of the rank of a Sergeant first stormed the house of Eunice on November 21 to confront her on the money she took and her refusal to visit him.
Upon reaching his girlfriend’s home, the Sergeant knocked at her door severally but there was no response.
Feeling upset, he broke the windows of the house and left.
He went back to Eunice’s house the next day and still did not meet her. The police officer then broke into her room and absconded with all Eunice’s personal belongings.
After undertaking this ridiculous operation, he visited the workplace of the auntie of Eunice hoping to meet her there.
He was seen holding a gallon suspected to contain petrol.
The fire spread to adjourning apartment and burnt down other five rooms occupied by tenants and the landlord.
Eunice was not at home when the policeman caused the inferno.
Five days after setting the house ablaze, he proceeded to the pub of Eunice’s Auntie and burnt it.
