Ghana’s Youth and Sports Minister Ussif Mustapha has been trolled massively on social media after news broke that he received punches and a cut from a sharp object during a brawl in Parliament House on Monday evening.
Ghanaian members of parliament physically traded blows in the chamber of Parliament following disagreement on the implementation of government’s proposed 1.75% tax on elecronic transaction (E-levy).
Jamaludeen Abdullah, an aide to the Minister of Youth and Sports confirmed in an interview sighted by Kasatintin.com that, the minister indeed suffered cuts from a sharp object during the scuffle in parliament on Monday, December 20, 2021.
He told Ghanaweb ‘It is true that Hon. Mustapha Ussif suffered some cuts around his eye but I can tell you that he is very fine. There is a cut around his eye but he is doing very fine’.
Social media users never disappoint. They have released an ‘edited photo’ to mimic how the Sports Minister should look like after his ordeal in the parliamentary brawl.
