Speaker Alban Bagbin’s outfit to the Parliament house on Tuesday has triggered massive social media reactions.
Mr Bagbin ditched his usual ceremonial outfit on the opening day of Parliament for more indigenous wear.
The Speaker wore a beautiful Kente cloth over a white lace shirt with gold jewelry and crown to match the outfit.
His combination exemplified the costume Ewe chiefs wear at key traditional functions.
Some weeks ago, Alban Bagbin hinted that he will only use the Speaker’s cloak for ceremonial occasions as part of his commitment to change the dress code and code of conduct of MPs.
