A 22-year-old man has been swept away in Densu River in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
According to report, the incident happened on Monday around 3:30 pm at Densuano, a suburb of Koforidua.
The deceased, Kwame Iron went swimming in the Densu River with his female friends after a heavy downpour and got drowned while showing off his swimming skills before them.
The ladies allegedly ran away after noticing the incident.
Help came late and Kwame Iron lost his life.
Yaw Kyei, who claim to be related to the deceased told reporters that Kwame Iron did not have any swimming skills hence was surprised he went to swim in the river at a time the water level was high.
The body of the deceased has since been retrieved and deposited at the morgue while investigations continue.
