A grieving family who recently lost their 18-year-old son, Mpho stopped his funeral after they discovered that his manhood was missing.
The bizzare incident occurred in Daveyrown, South Africa.
The family have accused the people who prepared the corpse for burial of stealing the Mpho’s penis.
Portia, mother of the deceased said ‘My son body was collected from home with every body part intact, but some parts are missing.Why is that?’.
She told the press that the funeral parlour which initially collected the body did not have cold storage, so they transferred Mpho’s body to another parlour.
It appears Mpho’s private part got mutilated at the second parlour.
Portia related that owners of the second parlour tried to hide the issue and persuaded her not to visit the home.
On the day of the funeral, the family rejected the body and called on the owners of the parlour to refund their money.
They declared that they would hold the property as security until the owner of the funeral parlour refunded the sum of R30,000.
