News just in claims that five sudanese soccer players have drowned in River Nile.
The players were travelling from Shendi to Al Matama in Sudan to play a third division match when their boat capsized and sank in the Nile.
The deceased belonged to the Al-Malaha club. They were expected to play the game with Al-Jarif club.

Rescue efforts are underway to retrieve the missing bodies from the river, reports said.
