First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo Turns 71 Years Today


Ghana’s First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo is 71years old today, March, 12, 2022.

‘Happy 71st Birthday, Auntie Becky @RAkufoAddo. Your compassionate heart is a blessing to all. I hope you have a great day today’, Second Lady Samira Bawumia tweeted on Saturday.

Born Rebecca Naa Okaikor Griffiths-Randolph on March 12 1951 in Ghana, Rebecca is the wife of President Nana Akufo-Addo.

She is said to be the daughter of Judge Jacob Hackenburg Griffiths-Randolph who served as the Speaker of Ghana Parliament in the third Republic.

Rebecca Akufo-Addo attended Achimota Primary School, Wesley Grammar School in Dansoman in Greater Accra Region and proceeded to Government Secretarial School where she was trained as a professional Secretary.

The First Lady is a former worker of Merchant Bank.


She relocated to the United Kingdom and had the opportunity to serve as Legal Secretary to multinational law firm Clifford Chance and Ashurst Morris Crisp.

President Akufo-Addo and his wife Rebecca are fond of displaying their love for each other publicly.


President Akufo-Addo replied ‘Thank you my beautiful Rebecca ❤️’.
