A new airport is set to be constructed in Kwahu in the Eastern part of Ghana.
According to a document shared by Davis Ansah Opoku, MP on Facebook, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has given permission and authorised Kwahu Airport Limited to commence the proposed construction and operation of Airport project as per an attached schedule.
The airport will be located at Nkwantang-Ahinase in the Kwahu East District of the Eastern Region.
The EPA permit is said to have issued the environmental permit on March 10, 2022 and it expires on September 9, 2023.
Kwahu Airport Limited is required to obtain other permits from relevant institutions to complete the process.
