Condom Shortage Hit Kwahu Easter–People Call For More Supply


Reports indicate that there is shortage of condoms in Kwahu in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

Kwahu has recorded an overwhelming number of visitors due to the interesting social activities which often take place during the Easter holidays.. But this is not uncommon.

As usual, a lot of beautiful ladies have stormed the town.

Most hotels and guesthouses were fully booked before April 2022.

Government also targets over $2.3bn from this year’s Kwahu Easter celebrations.

Revelers are having a good time at the Odweanoma Paragliding Field at Kwahu Atibie in the Kwahu South Municipality.


Others are also having fun at street carnivals, jams, inter-community soccer games and hiking which are taking place in Obomeng and nearby towns.

In 2019, the Ghana AIDS Commission distributed over 10,000 condoms in the Kwahu area during the Easter festivities however, there was shortage of condoms.


Rumours are rife on social media that patronage of condoms have been great and the commodity has allegedly run out of stock in pharmacies and vendors in town.

No official report yet but if condoms are in short supply, you definitely know what it means, right?
