Presiding Bishop of Lighthouse Chapel International, Dag Heward-Mills has made his first post since the passing away of his eldest son, David Heward-Mills.
David,31 died on Good Friday, April 15, 2022 in the US where he was a certified psychiatrist for over 6years.
He is said to have died after a short illness.
The tragic news has attracted a lot of reactions from the public who have generously extended their sympathy to the bereaved family and Dag Heward-Mills in particular.
Remarkably, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills has not personally make a public statement about David’s death.
His first post on Facebook in the last few hours only touched on the Good Friday service his church held at the Independence Square in Accra:
‘It was so wonderful to fellowship together at the Independence Square on Good Friday after all these years’, part of the post read.
Though he failed to talk about his son’s death, some social media users appear to understand the difficult situation he is going through currently.
One social media user said ‘It is obvious you deeply love us Bishop….you prepared us to be ready to suffer like Jesus did. God bless you richly you and comfort you in these trying times. I love you more’.
Another added, ‘The devil failed again. For the life of Dr. David Heward-Mills, many more souls have been won for the Lord🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙏🙏🙏We pray for Bishop Dag, Auntie Maame, Bishop Joshua and his sisters, together with the entire DHMM family, that the Lord Himself will comfort them in this very difficult situation.God is still on His Throne 🙌🏽🙏We share in your pain and loss, our condolences, Daddy 🙌🏽🙏’
