John Dramani Mahama has hit hard at President Nana Akufo-Addo over the increasing level of economic hardships in Ghana.
Mr Mahama also threw a few ‘punches’ at Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for his role as head of the government economic management team.
Addressing the nation on the theme ‘Ghana At A Crossroads’ on Monday in Accra, former president Mahama said the economic management team of the Akufo-Addo led government has ran out of ideas.
Mahama provided a number of solutions to the ruling government which he believes will aid the country back on the path of economic recovery.
He sarcastically referred to President Akufo-Addo administration as one which is using text book theories to manage the complex Ghanaian economy, and that can not yield any positive results.
To practically ease the current economic challenges, Mahama advised the President to dissolve the low performed economic management team with immediate effect and bring in fresh brains.
Also, he said the Finance Minister should be relieved of his job.
John Mahama urged President Akufo-Addo to stop the continues rental of expensive private jets for all his foreign trips to demonstrate his willingness to protect the public purse.
Despite his beautiful suggestions, others think Mr Mahama should meet President Akufo-Addo in person to discuss the issues at hand with him.
