Bawumia Spotted At A ‘Special Funeral Service’ For Queen Elizabeth II In Accra



Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has attended a special church service in Ghana to mourn the death of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The ceremony was jointly organised by the Anglican Church and the British High Commission on Friday, September 16, 2022 in Accra.

Speaking on behalf of President Nana Akufo-Addo and the people of Ghana, he extended condolences to his Majesty King Charles III,  the Royal Family, the people of the United Kingdom and the entire Commonwealth.

Bawumia described Queen Elizabeth II as ‘an embodiment of virtue, courage and affection’ and prayed for a peaceful rest for her.

He said ‘Ladies and gentlemen, as we celebrate a great woman who was an embodiment of virtue, courage and affection, it is my prayer that God will accept her gentle soul to a peaceful rest’.
