35-year-old Senior High School teacher, Nicholas Teye, whose photo was seen in the campaign billboards of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the 2020 general elections has disclosed that his life is under threat.

Nicholas featured in a billboard which promoted the NPP’s youth employment initiative, National Builders Corps (NABCO).

‘My Livelihood Depends On Your Vote, Remember Me’, the campaign message read.

Critics say the programme was poorly executed. Some beneficiaries want government to pay them their outstanding allowances.

Nicholas Teye said people who are dissatisfied with the governance of the incumbent government have threatened his life.

They argue his contribution brought the NPP back into power in 2020. Now, he can’t step out without wearing a ‘mask’ to protect his identity.
