Nigerian tech company Uniccon Group has built Africa’s first humanoid robot.
The female robot named Omiefe possesses striking features similar to a human being.
Omiefe is 6-feet-tall, has Igbo character and has deeper understanding of African culture and behavioural patterns, Kasatintin.com can report.
She is programmed to speak nine different languages including English, French, Arabic, Kiswahili, Pidgin, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo and Afrikaans.
The African humanoid provides these languages as a service for businesses which need to reach out to native African audiences.
Omiefe can handle multipurpose tasks as a robot (See photos below).
