The Ogun State Police Command have arrested a couple identified as Taiwo Olutufese Ajalorun and Salawa Oyenusi Ajalorun for allegedly kidnapping and killing 26-year-old woman, Onyindamola Adeyemi and selling her body parts to ritualists for nearly 50,000 Naira.
Nigeria Police said it intensified its investigations and arrested six other people after a neighbour lodged a complaint that Onyindamola Adeyemi had gone missing on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Her phone was switched off.
The next day, a police patrol team from Obalende division found a headless body of a lady by the road side and deposited it at the mortuary.
Adeyemi was identified by the bra and underwear she wore while going out.
Police later retrieved the Itel phone of the deceased from a herbalist.
His arrest led to the apprehension of his friend, who was keeping the legs of the victim in his house.
Following their confession, the police arrested other suspects who bought different body parts of Adeyemi.
