It has emerged that people who donate part of their sperms at fertility clinic for cash actually earn more money than men who choose to do regular work with their university certificates.
On the average, sperm donors in Ghana receive a cash payment of GHC 2,500 ($208) per week. That amounts to GHC 10,000 in a month (equivalent to $832).
On the other hand, an employed university graduate in the country receives an average earnings of GHC 2,000 at the end of every month.
Twitter user, Adofo Asa who brought the argument up in a post sighted by Kasatintin.com urged young people to choose wisely.
He said ‘Degree-2000gh a month.Sperm Donation-2500gh a week. Choose wisely!!!’.
There has been a mad rush for sperm donation in the country in the last few days.
One fertility clinic in Accra,Medifem Multispecialty Hospital announced on Tuesday that it has exceeded its target for sperm donation and wish to draw the attention of the public that ‘we are not in need of additional donors at this time’.
