The daughter of Nollywood actress, Iniobong Edo Ekim popularly known as Ini Edo is 2years old on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
Ini Edo, now a single mother dropped a special message for her daughter via Twitter saying ‘My Baby Light is 2. My beautiful, loving ,precious little girl is growing so fast. So smart, so loving..Mummy loves you too much my little Angel❤️❤️❤️’.
Ini Edo and Philip Ehiagwina got married in 2008 but the couple went their separate ways in 2014 after Ini Edo reportedly returned the bride price paid by her husband.
According to the actress, distance and family interferences collapsed her marriage.
‘Marriage has taught me a lot of lessons, it made me wiser and stronger. I think it actually made me more mature. I don’t think I married too early, maybe I was a little in a hurry’ she told Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on the Rubbin Minds Show, Channels Television.
Ini Edo revealed that ‘Most of the time, we attract the wrong people, sometimes for the wrong reasons. Because when people come to you because of what they see on TV, it’s hard for them to accept you, considering the fact that you are just acting because that is your job.
‘When they find out that it’s not the real you, it becomes a problem. Marriage is an experience that I don’t regret. My ex-husband met me as an actress. My job takes my time because, naturally, there are certain roles you are not allowed to play once you are married’.
