Pure Water Seller In Trouble For Selling Her 18-Month-Old Baby to Pay Back Loan She Took From Bank

33-year-old Nigerian, Olaide Adekunle has sold her 18-months-old baby for six hundred thousand naira (N600,000) to pay back a loan she took from a microfinance bank.

Olaide was arrested after her husband lodged a complaint with the police that she left home to Lagos with their baby girl named Moridiat Rasaq, but did not bring her back.

She couldn’t give any reasonable account of the the whereabout of Rasaq.

Upon interrogation by Ogun Police Command, Olamide confessed that she sold the baby in Lagos for N600,000 so she can offset a bank loan she has been struggling to pay.
