At least 47 people have died in Kenya after popular pastor Paul Mackenzie,50 told his followers to fast for days in a forest while ‘waiting to meet Jesus’.
Authorities have rescued 11 people, most of them in critical condition. Scores of dead bodies were also found in shallow graves inside the forest.
Police investigations revealed that the congregation have been living in the forest for several days thinking the world will end in no time so they can meet the son of God, Jesus.
Pastor Paul Mackenzie, who is the founder and leader of Good News International Church has been sent to court for urging worshippers to starve to death in order to reach heaven faster.
He is currently out on police bail after being charged last month over the death of two children whose parents fellowship in his church. SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
