Kenyan pastor, Ezekiel Odero has been arrested over mass deaths of his church members.
His church, New Life Prayer Centre has also been shut down, authorities said on Thursday.
Pastor Ezekiel Odero has been held by the police after they inspected a funeral home near his church.
The police revealed that morgue attendants had been collecting bodies at the New Life International Church premises in Kilifi county.
Pastor Ezekiel Odero is ‘being processed to face criminal charges related to the mass killing of his followers’.
Also, ‘…over 100 people who were holed up at the premises have been evacuated and will be required to record statements’, Interior Minister Kithure Kindiki said in a statement.
Odero is known to be wealthy and pulls lots of crowd at his mega crusades where he regularly sells scraps of clothes which he claims heal many sicknesses.
