Aljazeera Is Becoming A Fake International TV Station, Learn From Wontumi Media- Chairman Wontumi

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako alias Chairman Wontumi is fighting Aljazeera over their latest hot investigative piece on President Nana Akufo-Addo.

The undercover report titled ‘Gold Mafia’ claimed that President Akufo-Addo acted as a lawyer for gold and money laundering mafia Alistair Mathias, which implied that the President personally benefitted unlawfully from an alleged $100 million state infrastructure contract purportedly awarded to Mr. Mathias.

In his reaction, Chairman Wontumi said Aljazeera is gaining notoriety for churning out fake news without cross checking their facts.

The NPP Chairman asked Aljazeera to learn some basic ethics of journalism from his ‘local champion’ media company, Wontumi FM and TV and salvage the reputation crisis they are facing.

Meanwhile, legal counsel for President Akufo-Addo has also demanded that AlJazeera retracts immediately and apologises for ‘airing an inaccurate and unfair documentary that contained spurious and unsubstantiated allegations against the President and the Government of Ghana’.  SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
