Today’s International Sex Workers’ Day–All You Need To Know

Today, June 2, 2023 is International Sex Workers’ Day.

International Sex Worker’s Day is celebrated to highlight the rampant exploitation of sex workers and their terrible working conditions.

The day is also celebrated to raise awareness of the rights of the sex workers and to combat stigma and discrimination against them.

Since 1976 this day has been marked to show respect for the most abused, victimised and valuable section of the society.

The theme for 2023 International Sex Workers Day is ‘Access to Justice’. The same theme is chosen every year as a way to work consistently to advance the rights and to push justice for all sex workers.
