Self-aclaimed Kenyan lawyer, Brian Mwenda has reportedly been arrested.
Before his arrest, unqualified lawyer Brain Mwenda handled 26 cases before High Court Judges, Magistrates, and Court of Appeal of Judges and won all of them.
The lawyer paraded himself as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya,local media reported.
The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) are concerned that the suspect presented himself as member of their law fraternity.
In a statement,they said ‘It has been brought to the attention of the LSK Nairobi Branch through the Rapid Action Team (RAT), that the above pictured person has been presenting and conducting himself as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of LSK Nairobi Branch.
‘The Branch wishes to notify all members of the society and of the public that BRIAN MWENDA NJAGI is not an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, from the Society’s records, neither is he a member of the Branch.
The issue has attracted several comments on social media. One netizen @Official_Cliff said ‘I’m sorry, but if this guy can succeed to do the job right, I’d consider hiring him. I won’t need a certificate from such a man, I need the job done. Has there been any complaints?’.
Another social media like user @Muchiri_Kihoro added that ‘But he [Brain Mwenda] managed to successfully litigate against qualified lawyers n win all 26 cases. ???? ???? y’all should be embracing him n deregister the others’. SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
