Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has appeared in public for the first time without wearing his most loved white Kaftan dress. People are surprised!
Ofori-Atta was spotted wearing a beautifully sewn Ministry of Finance branded wax fabric shirt when he and a delegation from the Volta River Authority (VRA) paid a courtesy call on Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, North Tongu MP to undertake a technical assessment on the extent of damage of the spillage of water from the Akosombo Dam in his constituency.
North Tongu seems to be the worst affected area after authorities spilled water from the Volta Dam to avert imment havoc to the national hydroelectric dam.
Most people have become homeless while buildings housing top businesses like hotels have been submerged in the flood water.
Hon. Okudjeto Ablakwa said in a social media post ‘it is our expectation that the Minister’s fact finding and technical assessment mission will reflect in appropriate budgetary allocation for resettlement and compensation as he prepares to present the 2024 Budget in a few days’.
Commenting on Ken Ofori-Atta’s dressing, one social media user said ‘I’m seeing Ken for the first time not in his white white attire’.
Other netizens added: ‘Ken wears other colours? First time seeing him in a coloured shirt’.
‘First time seeing the Finance minister in a different colour of clothing apart from white. I used to think he only wears white clothes’. SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
