Afua Asantewaa has made an open confession that she has a strong admiration for Kuami Eugene.
Afua who recently attempted to break Guinness World Records’ longest singing marathon said she is so crazy about the talent of the highlife musician which is why she performed most of Kuami Eugene’s songs during her 5-day sing-a-thon attempt in December 2023.
Afua said she ‘lost her mind’ and couldn’t remember her lyrics when Kuami Eugene paid her a surprise visit at the Akwaaba Village.
‘I said that guy came and I could not remember my lyrics. I said ‘this guy has worried me.’ If Guinness people don’t give me the record, it’s Kuami Eugene’, she said on a lighter note in an interview with Joy Prime’s IB Ben Bako.
Afua added ‘My husband knows. So when he got there I said ‘Kuami you have worried me. You shouldn’t have come. I sang ‘Asuoden’ and you know his rap comes after. As I stood there, I did everything I couldn’t remember’.
