A new study has found that getting out in the sun can boost your libido. This is because more exposure to sunlight releases higher levels of sexual hormones.
Researchers at Tel Aviv University conducted the study, exposing 32 adults to different levels of ultraviolet (UV) radiation from sunlight, while quizzing them about how horny they were feeling.
When the participants were asked to avoid sunlight for two days, then sunbathe for 25 minutes, the researchers discovered that both the male and female subjects reported that they were more sexually excited.
The study further revealed that UV exposure boosted levels of sexual hormones, and also helped to increase testosterone levels in the males, making them more aggressive.
The new discovery has practical implications for the treatment of sexual hormone disorders in the future using UV light procedures.
Good news as this may sound, further study is required before any treatment can be designed.
Meanwhile, the Tel Aviv University researchers have warned people to avoid too much exposure to sunlight as excessive exposure has its own dire consequences. SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
