Thieves Break Into Home Of Deputy Finance Minister John Kumah, Run Away With GH¢50,000 Cash And Other Sensitive Documents

Thieves have raided the residence of Ghana’s Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr John Ampontuah Kumah on Friday, December 29, 2023.

According to reports, the burglary occurred at about 6:44pm after Kumah and his family left their home at Chantan in the Greater Accra Region to attend a church service in town.

Complaint filed at the Mile 7 Police Station revealed ‘The thieves made away with GH¢50,000, home appliances, and documents such as passports, and birth certificates belonging to the wife of the Deputy Minister, Apostle Lilian Kumah’.

Police have obtained a CCTV footage from the crime scene which captured one suspect moving about the house at the exact time the crime took place.

Police have also questioned some neighbors of the deputy minister as part of their investigations. SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
