Oral hygiene is important but do not use toothbrush to clean your teeth.
Studies have shown that plastic toothbrushes have nylon bristles which contain micro plastics. So every time you brush your teeth (with toothbrush), millions of micro plastic bit enter your system. This usually causes cancer.
To avoid this, use a more natural alternative. It is highly recommended that you use a chewing stick or miswak.
Clinical studies show that chewing stick contains antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-cariogenic, and anti-plaque properties.
Other scientists have found chewing stick to have anti-oxidant, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory effects, and using chewing stick has an immediate effect on the composition of saliva.
Mohammad M. Haque and Saeed A. Alsareii’s extensive ‘review of the therapeutic effects of using miswak (Salvadora Persica) on oral health’ concluded that miswak or chewing stick ‘can be a potent oral hygiene tool, not only due to its excellent mechanical plague-removing efficiency, but for its broad range of biological properties’ and recommended that the ‘use of these sticks as a tool for oral hygiene in areas where their use is effective and customary’.
