Veteran Nigerian actor Mr Ibu has passed away at age 62 on Saturday,March 2, 2024.
Kasatintin.com has learnt that Mr Ibu’s blood pressure became abnormal, and he was on life support after undergoing a second surgery to deal with the constant clotting of blood on his leg.
But one of his legs was amputated in November 2023 due to the condition.
Mr Ibu was unlucky with women. He got married twice. His first marriage was in 1998 but things didn’t work out well; they got separated at a point.
After 6years of breaking up with his ex-wife, he settled down with his second wife, Maris Stella Chinyere and they had 4 children together, of which one is deceased. Mr Ibu had 9 children from his previous marriage.
He experienced grave marital problems. Ms Stella accused him of domestic abuse and lamented how she alone has been catering for their children.
Frustrated Ibu reacted to the accusations saying ‘There has been so much misunderstanding between us, just because she doesn’t want to understand the kind of person I am and my kind of life’.
He complained that when he himself was ill, he abandoned in the hospital for more than a month in Abuja and about two weeks in Lagos. SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
