Senegalese have elected a young man as the country’s new leader.
Millions took part in the Sunday elections to kick out incumbent president, Macky Sall. The election was generally peaceful.
Opposition leader Bassirou Diomaye Faye,44years beat 17 candidates in the Senegal’s presidential election.
Most of the candidates have conceded and called in to congratulate Faye, though official results have not yet been announced.
Amadou Ba who contested on the ticket of the ruling party has denied that he has lost the election.
He is expecting a run-off vote to decide a winner. Amadou’s wish can come through only if no candidate obtains more than 50% of the total votes. SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
