The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Krachi East in the Oti region, Bernard Aborkugya Mensah is dead.
The late MCE fell unconscious while delivering a speech at the matriculation ceremony of Dambai College Of Education. He died on the way to Worawora Government Hospital Friday afternoon.
Mr Aborkugya Mensah was sworn into office on May 2, 2023, taking over from Francis Kofi Okesu who also died under mysterious circumstances in Kumasi two years ago.
According to reports, the body of Mr Okesu was found in a hotel room at Kentikrono on Sunday, September 4, 2022.
He is said to have checked into the hotel on Friday for the weekend.
‘His body was found lying naked in a supine position on the bed. Traces of whitish substance suspected to be semen was seen on his thighs.
