Abronye’s Wife Gets Only 6 Votes In NPP Ejisu Primaries—Report Details Why Another Female Candidate Had 0 Vote

Portia Acheampong, wife of NPP’s Bono Region Chairman secured only 6 votes in the just ended primaries held in the Ejisu constituency, Ashanti Region.

Abronye, the party’s chairman in the Bono Region is an influential figure in the NPP and experienced politician so it was least expected that his wife will chop last in the election.

Kwabena Boateng becomes the NPP’s parliamentary candidate for the Ejisu constituency going into the December 2024 general elections.

Boateng secured 394 votes in Saturday’s polls, beating his closest rivals Helena Mensah (302 votes) and Yaa Akyemaa Aboagye (229 votes).

Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) president, Kwesi Nyantakyi had 35 votes whereas Dr Evans Duah polled 63 votes. Klinsman Karikari Mensah and Aaron Prince Duah garnered 2 votes each. Regrettably, Jacqueline Abena Pokua Amoah-Boaitey scored zero.  SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
