A Nigerian pastor based in Lagos State has announced the suspension of offertory collection in his church.
The clergyman admitted that currently there is hardship everywhere in the country and the church can not continue to put financial burden on its members.
For him, the church members are struggling in life. Cost of living, fuel and transport have become unbearable thus, it will be unreasonable to collect offerings from them.
The pastor insisted that until petrol prices are reduced, and the economy shows signs of recovery his church will not collect any money from church members.
