Legendary Ghanaian footballer Abedi Ayew Pele has dropped a hint of his two son, Dede Ayew and Jordan Ayew retiring from playing for the Ghana national football team.
The Ayew family probably feel unwanted in the Black Stars after Coach Otto Addo refused to include Dede Ayew in the squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic.
Following this, Solar Ayew, uncle of Dede Ayew stated that ‘We’ve taken Andre Ayew’s omission from the Black Stars squad normally. He was earning invites when he was unattached, so his omission will surprise not only me but everyone because he is at the top of his game now. This is normal for the Ayew family’.
Speculations are rife that the Ayews, will retire from playing for the Black Stars.
In a cryptic message on the X platform, Abedi Pele wrote ‘Announcement soon’
