Asamoah Gyan, former Black Stars captain has denounced his membership in the New Patriotic Party.
In a social media post, Gyan admitted that he has not been fair to the country’s youth by being affiliated with a political party.
He now wants to focus on his humanitarian work, making significant contribution to empowering the youth of Ghana through the Asamoah Gyan Foundation.
A few months ago, Asamoah Gyan was named chairman of Dr Mahumudu Bawumia’s Youth and Sports Manifesto sub-committee.

In August, this year he joined the Dr Bawumia in the NPP campaign walk in Akropong in the Eastern Region.
