Ghanaian musician, Maradona Adjei Yeboah, better known as Guru, has won the University of Ghana Students’ Representative Council (SRC) presidential elections held today, Wednesday, September 18,2024.

Guru, ‘Lapaz Toyota’ hitmaker and his running mate, Jeffery Adu-Yeboah secured 50.7% with 9,455 votes, and a voter turnout of 18,659.

The musician was initially disqualified from the presidential race on the basis that he was a non-resident student.
